After testing the ads with another journal, I have to say, the ones I got were the worst kind. I had been hoping for simple and not intrusive, but what I got was annoying sound and my virus protection being triggered for them on the first few tries. These are not the types of ads I want to encounter on a service I have paid for and would like to do so again. (Yes, even if I pay, I don't think that the free users should be forced to put up with anything that can potentially harm systems. You don't gain paid customers that way, you simply alienate the ones who normally might pay into just finding a different service or turning on ad blockers which will also take away revenue.) Your ads are triggering the virus protection programs (innocent or not) and that makes it look like you're not providing a service your users can trust, let alone be willing to pay for. Normally I am always recommending this site to potential users, but with the quality of these ads you're testing, I can't see myself recommending the site for any new customer.
